Why Lampshade Inspection Is Critical to Table Lamp Quality

The lampshade is the “face” of a table lamp and plays a vital role in light diffusion. A well-made shade softens light and enhances comfort, while a poor-quality one can cause harsh glare, uneven brightness, and even shorten the lamp’s lifespan.

To ensure product excellence, we perform multi-level inspections:

1. Visual Checks – Each shade is examined under strong lighting, rotated 360° to detect even the slightest imperfections, including fine scratches, fraying fabric edges, or uneven stitching.

2. Dimensional Accuracy – Multiple points are measured to confirm the top and bottom diameters, angles, and overall height match design specifications, preventing assembly issues.

3. Structural Integrity – The internal frame is checked for sturdiness to avoid future deformation or sagging. For metal and glass shades, we conduct additional impact resistance tests.

4. Color and Material Consistency – A colorimeter is used to ensure consistent shade color across the entire batch, matching the original approved sample perfectly.

5. Functional Validation – We test light transmittance, heat resistance, and aging durability, ensuring the shade maintains its appearance and function during long-term use.

These thorough inspections go beyond basic quality checks—they ensure customers receive a product that delivers superior lighting performance and aesthetic value.
